Man Stabbed at Frank’s Place Bar

Just after 11 pm, New Boston Police received an urgent 911 call. The female caller said her male companion had been stabbed. She also stated that the assailant was still inside the bar.

A New Boston unit posted up outside Frank’s Place and called for backup from PPD. Several Portsmouth Police officers responded to the call. As they were en route to the bar, the New Boston officer called out status updates that the suspect had not left and was still inside the bar.

Once all the officers were in place, they made entry into the bar. They quickly detained the suspect and de-escalated the situation.

Police then called for EMS to assist with the wounded man and began to question the witnesses.

The victim was transported to SOMC, and the victim’s companion was also taken to SOMC by Portsmouth Police.

All PPD units were cleared, and the suspect was left in the custody of the New Boston Police.
