A Minford man who took aim at a rat accidentally shot himself in the foot just after 9 pm. However, his toe wasn’t the only casualty of the incident.
While an officer was responding to the scene, they hit a dog in the road. The dog did not have a tag to identify its owner, and the officer moved it off the road and proceeded to the call.
The man explained he was trying to kill a rat but shot himself in the foot with a pellet gun. He refused an ambulance.
