Man Tasered, Arrested After Burger King Overdose

Officers ended up deploying a Taser and arresting a 48-year-old man after an incident at the Burger King on Gallia.

Just before 4 p.m., a witness reported a man had possibly overdosed in a black truck. They said he had one foot on the gas, and the vehicle was running.

When officers arrived, the man resisted arrest, and they were forced to use a stun gun on Wilbur Silvia.

Police arrested Silvia and arranged to have his vehicle towed.

Officials booked him into the Scioto County Jail on charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and possessing drug abuse instruments.

This was at least his 12th trip to the Scioto County Jail.  Police previously arrested him for non-support, probation violation, breaking and entering, parole violation, passing bad checks, receiving stolen property, and contempt of court.
