An intoxicated man had a lot of threats, but apparently, not a lot of sense after he threatened deputies who showed up to investigate a report of a fight.

Officers working the Hillbilly Bash at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds spotted a shirtless man going face-to-face with the fire chief and cussing the official out. The man then walked toward deputies and claimed someone tried to hit him with a car.

Deputies noted the man reeked of alcohol and asked him to explain what was happening. The man called the officer “a dumb p***y and started screaming. The officer explained he was trying to figure out what had happened, but the man kept cussing.

The deputy put him in the back of a police vehicle and asked if someone could tell him what was going on. A witness explained that the argument was all about a girl, and the intoxicated man had started fighting friends and relatives who attempted to get him to calm down.

The intoxicated man told the deputy he was lucky he had a badge, or he would kick his ass. The officer placed him under arrest and transported him to the Lawrence County Jail.
