Man Threatens Woman and Dog with Cross Bow – Gets Tazed

Bryan Blanton

Officers responded to a McDermott home just after 2 pm for a report a man had assaulted a woman and a dog.

A few minutes later, a caller reported the man had a crossbow and was threatening to shoot the woman. Officers learned the man had open warrants out of Highland County and a protection order against him through PPD. (They later learned the TPO has expired.)

The suspect took off on foot, but an officer caught up with him shortly after. However, he refused to cooperate, and they ended up deploying a stun gun. Deputies called for an ambulance to remove the stun gun prongs and then transported him to the Scioto County Jail.
