Officers took a man into custody for domestic violence after a domestic situation spun out of control in South Point.
Deputies responded to the home after a report of a heated domestic and were waved down by a man as they approached the apartments. Officers detained him in the squad car while they investigated the scene.
They said the floor was soaking wet with water in the apartment, and there were cigarette butts all over the stairs.
The woman said the man had screamed at her and threatened to slice her throat before throwing the ashtray at her. Officers noted her shirt was covered with ashes. Additionally, the woman said the man had broken her phone so she couldn’t call for help.
Officers took the man into custody for domestic violence and disrupting public service.
