Man Tries to Lure Child on Kendall Avenue

Just a day after a woman was arrested for attempting to kidnap a little boy on 17th Street, there was another report of an adult behaving inappropriately with a child in the area.

This time, the incident happened on Kendall Avenue at the Woodbine Apartments. A caller reported that a Hispanic male tried to get a five-year-old to come into an apartment.

Officers took the information for a report.

Juveniles Detained After Break-In at Sonoras Mexican Grill

Two kids found themselves in trouble with the law just before 10 pm. A caller said they spotted one of the people who broke into the restaurant over the weekend running down Grandview.

Officers detained two juveniles and took them back to the restaurant along with their parents. Officers were able to positively identify an adult male suspect in the incident at the restaurant.

They released the kids to their parents and took information for a report.

Wanted Woman Arrested on Grandview

A caller spotted a suspicious woman walking in the alley between McConnell and Grandview just before 4:30 am.

Police stopped Glenda Murphy because she had open warrants from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office for violating a protection order and criminal trespass.

PPD was aware of her warrants but were delayed in arresting her because LEADS (Law Enforcement Automated Data System) had not been updated to show them. They had her in custody the night before but were forced to let her go because of the issue.

She was arrested two weeks ago for making a domestic threat.

This was her 14th arrest.
