Man With 39 Arrests Agrees To Get Help Then Ends Up With 40th Arrest

Officers responded to multiple calls about a man with a long history of arrests. The first call came in around 7:30 on Sunday.

A caller reported him walking around the 2000 block of 17th Street and said he appeared to be drunk or high. While police were looking for him, someone flagged them down in the parking lot of the Oasis to report a man acting strangely.

Officers caught up with him at 17th and Kendall. When they spoke to him, he agreed to get help from the Counseling Center.

However, it appears that things did not work out as planned. The man was arrested for the 40th time on Monday, this time for a probation violation. This was his fifth arrest of 2022.
