Man with Gun Causes Scare in Antique Store

Worried employees of a local antique store contacted Portsmouth Police after they said a man with a gun at his side kept asking her if they had a police badge or handcuffs for sale in the store.

When officers arrived, they noted that the man was openly carrying a weapon, but said no crime had actually been committed as simply wanting to buy a badge and handcuffs isn’t illegal.

Back in March, we told you about Donald Bradley, 43, who was charged with impersonating a police officer. He was arrested and given a steep bond of $100,000.

That case is still working its way through the court system. Bradley waived his right to a speedy trial and has had 5 Competency/Sanity hearings.
