Man With Knife at Minford Dollar General
Officers responded to a report of a man with a knife making threats at the Dollar General in Minford just after 10 pm.
Witnesses said the man had a hunting knife on his belt and threatened to kick their asses. The man left before deputies arrived, but a deputy returned later in the evening to escort the workers to their vehicles when the store closed.
Man Pitches Fit at Portsmouth Dollar General
A man caused a disturbance at Dollar General over an item he didn’t even buy there.
Officers responded to the store on Gallia just before 5 pm for a report of a man causing a disturbance. He was quite upset over a phone he had purchased.
However, he bought the phone from Walmart. Officers advised him to go to Walmart with his complaints.
Dollar General employees did not want to press charges as long as he agreed to leave the store and not come back.
Man Arrested for Domestic Violence – Immediately Released
Just after 5 pm, PPD officers got a call from Portsmouth Ambulance alerting them of a domestic violence incident.
They said they had picked up a woman on Gay Street after two men in a fight shoved her into a car.
Police responded to a 10th Street home and took a man into custody for domestic violence. Officers booked him into the Scioto County Jail. He was released per the court.
