Man With Knife Hunts Attackers in Wayne Hills 

Portsmouth Police responded to the 1800 Block of Kendall at 1 pm for a report of a man wielding a butcher knife. 

Witnesses said the man was looking for the people who had beaten him up and dropped him off near the steps a few minutes ago. 

Multiple units searched the area but were unable to locate the guy. 

Chaos in Wayne Hills 

Officers responded to three reports of fights in Wayne Hills in one hour. 

At 11:45 pm, a caller said there had been gun threats on Thomas Avenue. When police arrived on the scene, they saw a large group of people arguing but did not see any guns. The group dispersed. 

About 45 minutes later, officers got another report of a large group of people fighting. Police said the same group of people were arguing again and advised them to go home.  

About 10 minutes after that, a caller reported a man causing problems at a Kendall Avenue Apartment. During the investigation, officers discovered a woman on the scene had an open warrant. Police took her into custody.  

The next day, officers were called back to 17th Street for another report of a fight on PMHA property. The women involved did not want to press charges.
