Officers launched a search for suspects after someone shot a man in the face on Cartro Road. The call came in just before 2:30 pm, and officers and EMS responded to the scene.
Dispatch contacted OSP Troopers, who said units from the closest post and Lawrence County were on the way.
When EMS arrived on the scene, they called for an air ambulance, but the chopper couldn’t respond due to the weather. Medics transported the victim to the hospital.
Officers began searching for the suspects, stopped a vehicle, and searched a residence before they spotted two people running up the hill. They also saw a black car speeding down the road but were unable to catch up with it.
