Maria Lynn Floyd entered the pearly gates and into Jesus’ open arms February 13th, 2026. Maria was a generous woman with a huge heart which could be seen through her compassionate work with clients as a home health aide for over 25 years.
She was immensely loved as a fantastic mother, dependable daughter, and the best Mamaw her grandbabies could have been blessed with. She shared her life with her husband of 43 years.
She enjoyed planning over-the-top birthday parties and events, making the most detailed crafts, keeping her home beautifully decorated, and spoiling the grandkids every chance she got. “Mamaw” was her most cherished title. Left on Earth missing her is her husband: Charles Floyd, daughter: Jeweli Mullikin, son-in-law: Chase Mullikin, grandkids: Waylon Mullikin, Liam Floyd, Alayla Mullikin, and Gracelyn Mullikin, her mom: Pam Gambill, mother-in-law: Sharon (Larry) Floyd-Riepenhoff, two sisters: Julie (Dwayne) Pennington and Laura (Steve) Vassar, two brothers: Glennis Gambill and Angelo (Alicia) Gambill, and special friend: Debbie Wagner. She will also be greatly missed by her three honorary grandsons: Hayes, Brixton, and Kyrin Gibson and their mom: Quin Gibson, special family members: Tonya Porter, Sydney Alley, and Angel Haywood, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was able to celebrate her first heavenly Valentine’s Day with her son: Charles Floyd II, her dad: Glennis Gambill, and father-in-law: James Floyd, along with other loved family members and friends who went to be with God before she did. We can only imagine how special that reunion really was. Although our hearts are forever shattered, we know her soul is at peace and rejoicing.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Friday, February 20, 2026, at D.W. SWICK & SON FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICE in Wheelersburg. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home followed by interment at Memorial Burial Park.
