Marilyn Kathleen Copas, 98 parents; father, Nelson Lee Stouder, and mother, Stella Marie Donahue. Marilyn had 2 sisters; Edith and Lois and a brother, Herschel.
Marilyn was married to Harrison Copas, they both were taxidermists. She loved nature, singing country music, and classical big band music too. Marilyn liked playing the organ and the accordion. She liked to cook, canned lots of vegetables, baked lots of cakes, planted roses, and flowers around the house. Marilyn really liked dogs, poodles, and terriers.
She was a member of the Methodist Asbury Church. Marilyn liked to sew and made lots of dresses and blouses, she knew how to do embroidery, she did a lot of dollies. She is surely going to be missed. Marilyn is survived by children; Barbara A. Waller, Jacquelyn J. Smith, Debbie Reed, Patricia L. Davis, Nelson Lee Smith, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Marilyn’s memory.
Private services are being held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
