Markus Timothy Lott, 66, of Minford, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at SOMC Hospice. He was born September 26, 1957, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Herschel and Betty Bell Lott. He was the owner and operator of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Lott’s Plumbing and attended The Way Church.

He was known for his love for his family, his incredible sense of humor, and his adventurous heart. He was an entrepreneur, scuba diver, pilot, family man, handyman, and great friend.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Wheeler Lott; two children, Markus (Ashley) Lott, II, Brittany (Zack) Stephens; four grandchildren, Alec Lott, Marshall Lott, Eli Stephens, Aly Stephens; three sisters, Jane (David) Adkins, Diana (Tom) Marsh, Kathy (Danny) Thompson; one brother, Stephen Lott; his mother-in-law, Shirley Wheeler; three sisters-in-law, Carol Porter, Carolyn (Franklin) Crabtree, Dianna (John) Reedy, and three brothers-in-law, Leonard R. “Lenny” (Becky) Wheeler, Steven Wheeler, and Lee (Jodi) Wheeler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Zack Stephens and Andy Day officiating. Burial will be in Mault Cemetery.
