Martha Louise Jewett, 76, of Miamisburg, formerly of Portsmouth, made her journey home to her Heavenly Father and Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Ohio Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 7, 1948 in Louisa, KY to the late James and Mary (Musser) Gray Henderson.
Martha was a caring, loving wife and mother. She was a Sunday school teacher as well as a singer in her family’s gospel group.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Danny Jewett, and two brothers, Howard Henderson of South Shore, Ky and Dale Henderson of New York, NY.
Martha is survived by her son, Danny Jewett Jr., of Miamisburg, a daughter, Cheryl DiFede of Fair Oaks, CA, two brothers, Mike Henderson of South Shore, KY and Curtis Gray of Denver Colorado, 5 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Oswego Cemetery in Otway. Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth is handling the service.
