Mary A. Potter, 90, of South Shore, KY, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Letitia, KY, on September 16, 1935, a daughter of the late Ora T. and Pearl Stone Lyons.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Isaac “Wade” Potter; three sisters, Joann Adkins, Delcie Mae Lyons, and Mandy Ellen Lyons; and three brothers, Roy Lyons, David Lyons, and Truman Lyons; along with one great-granddaughter, Sady Raelynn Holbrook, and daughter-in-law, Tammy Potter.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Teresa Spradlin, Wadeana (Jeffrey) Holbrook, Gregory Potter, Timothy (Lisa) Potter, and Suzan (Paul) Osborne; three brothers, Frank Lyons, Jesse Lyons, Tony Lyons and Mark Lyons; seven grandchildren, J.D. (Charmaine) Holbrook, Rachel (Deron) Vanover, Travis Spradlin, Timothy (Abby) Potter JR, Shannon (Stephanie) Osborne, Megan (Chris) Purdy, and Levi Bloomfield; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, and two on the way.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with George Gravely officiating. Burial will follow at Sady Raelynn Holbrook Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
