Mary Elizabeth Tackett, 83, of South Shore, KY went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Bridgeport Nursing and Rehab in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in Bardwell, KY October 7, 1936, a daughter of the late George Washington Galloway and Iris Elizabeth Webb Galloway.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Quincy, KY.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years Willie D. Tackett, one daughter; Glenna (David) Carpenter of Lucasville, OH; two sons, Ronnie (Debra) Tackett of South Shore, KY and David (Tammy) Tackett of Fort Wayne, IN; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday, June 29, 2020, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Brother Gary Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1 P.M.
