Max E. Potter, 79 of Oak Hill, Florida went to his Heavenly Home on Feb. 6, 2021, in Advent Health in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, on Oct. 31, 1941, a son of the late Earl Potter and Phoebe McGuire Potter. Max was a retired crane operator from Armco/ A.K. Steel, a Veteran of the United States Army and of the Christian Faith.
Preceded in death besides his parents are his wife, Judy Ann Potter, Oct. 19, 2020, one sister, Helen Allen, three brothers, Bobby Gene Potter, William Arthur Potter, and Danny Potter.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela (Carl) Short of Oak Hill, Florida, one son, Max Michael (Jill) Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Bradley Curtis Lewis of Florida and Ivy Rebecca Potter of South Shore, KY, two brothers, Woodrow Potter and Soloman Potter both of South Shore, Kentucky and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Brother David Bentley, officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, Grayson, Kentucky. Friends may call from 10 a.m. till the service hour at 12 on Monday. Due to Covid restrictions, face-covering and social distancing will be required.
Military graveside services will be by the James Dickey American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth, Ohio
