We were all sold a story that the Hisle Park Apartments would be a safe haven for young people who have aged out of foster care. Yet, here we go again.

It was at the Hisle Park Apartments where police and Child Protective Services (CPS) workers rushed in not once, but twice, on separate child welfare calls—one involving suspected meth use and the other a door-banging showdown!

The drama kicked off when CPS caseworkers called in backup from police to investigate concerns that adults in one apartment were using meth around children. Officers accompanied CPS into the home, but police reports didn’t offer any details as to what officers found.

But it didn’t stop there! Shortly after, officers and CPS were called back to the complex after a furious mother allegedly pounded on a door, refusing to leave. The caller—her son’s girlfriend—wanted nothing to do with the unwanted visitor. However, when police arrived, they hit a roadblock—no one was at the front desk to buzz them in! And to make matters even stranger, they couldn’t even reach the woman who initially called for help.

Eventually, CPS workers took charge, removing children from the apartment and placing them with relatives for safety. No word yet on whether any arrests were made or what triggered the family feud.
