Michael Harold Brown, 67 of Otway went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on March 11, 1957 in Portsmouth to Fred and Lavonda “Bonnie” Adkins Brown of Otway.
Surviving is his wife of 45 years; Mary Wesley Brown. In addition to his parents and his wife, Michael is survived by his children; Jason (Andrea) Brown of Otway and Maranda (Aaron) Brackman of Otway; grandchildren, Wyatt, Isabella, Jake and Olivia; siblings, Brenda (Mike) Bender of Otway, and Doug (Tabatha) Brown of Lucasville; Brother and Sister in laws, Ted (Carla) Wesley of Peebles, Kathy Meyer of Louisville, Kentucky, Johnny (Andrea) Wesley of Peebles and Connie Wesley of Peebles and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandchildren; Samuel Brackman and Baron Brackman and father and mother in law; John and Loretta Wesley.
Michael was a member of Beech Fork Church where he served as a Deacon and proudly played the bass guitar. He was a co-owner/operator of Brown Brother’s Lumber Company. He enjoyed timber cutting, farming and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a faithful Mohawk fan and was always found sitting on the 50 yard line.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Beech Fork Church in Otway with Pastor Tom Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the church and for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
