Mildred “Millie” Gaia, 64, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on July 7, 2026. She was born November 7, 1961.
Millie was a devoted wife and mother whose love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 27 years, John Ray Gaia, who passed away in 2022; her father, Ezra Huffman; her stepmother, Lorraine (DePriest) Huffman; her daughter, Melissa Major; her brother, Ezra Luke Huffman; and her sister, Debra Schutze.
Millie is survived by her son, Ricky Major of Somerset, KY; her stepsons, Johnny Gaia Jr. and Jamie Gaia; her stepdaughter, Elisabeth Gaia; her sister, Sara Jo Huffman of Marion, IN; her aunt, June Buckley of West Portsmouth, OH; and one cherished grandchild, Ezra Major.
