Minford Teacher Honored by Students

“I am beyond grateful to know that students feel that I have made a difference in their lives.”  Minford resident Jennifer Snyder couldn’t be happier after her students honored her as ‘Most Influential Staff Member’ during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Seniors at Pickaway Ross Career & Technology Center nominated deserving educators, and science teacher Jennifer Snyder and English teacher Tea McCaulla tied for the title of the teacher who has the most impact on students’ lives.

Seniors nominated staff members, and two members of the Board of Education reviewed the nominations to pick a winner. The school has been handing out the award since 2019, but this is the first time they’ve had a tie.

The two teachers worked together with students on projects like the Veterans Healing Garden at the Chillicothe VA.  Students praised the winners for being supportive and kind.

McCaulla, of Chillicothe, said, “I am deeply honored to receive this award and be recognized by my students. I am the luckiest teacher to have such wonderful students, and it’s a pleasure to be their teacher.”

The school awarded each teacher a plaque to keep and inscribed their names on a plaque hanging in the school’s front hall.
