Just after 3 pm on Friday, a local group home reported two boys had walked away from the facility headed toward the Mound Park area. Police took a runway report but could not locate the children.
On Monday afternoon, officers spotted two suspicious-looking young men on 9th Street around 4 pm. The pair took off running and jumped a fence before heading toward Kroger.

An officer caught up with them on 7th Street shortly afterward and discovered both were juveniles who had been reported missing earlier in the day.
Deputies returned one child to a group home, and the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office picked up the other. Police removed their names from the missing children’s database.
