Mom Afraid of Drug Abusing Son

A frightened mom contacted officers just before 4 pm to report that her drug-abusing son was acting crazy. 

She said he stopped by her home to ask for money and food. She fed him, but told officers she was afraid of him since he was on drugs. The man has a long history of arrests, the most recent being for criminal trespass back on September 12. Officers have also arrested the  55-year-old man multiple times for drug possession, probation violation, and disorderly conduct. 

The woman requested officers find her son and tell him to stay away from her home. Police were unable to locate him. 

The next day, officers located the man at the Speedway on Gallia and took him into custody on an open warrant for criminal trespass. It was his 15th arrest. He was immediately released per the court. 

Creepy Man Tries To Lure Woman Into Truck on 6th Street

A worried uncle contacted Portsmouth Police at 5:23 pm to report that a creepy man attempted to lure his niece into a truck on 6th Street. 

The man said a middle-aged man driving a black truck with an Ohio State Sticker on the window tried to get his niece into his truck. Another woman yelled at her not to get into the truck.

The driver was described as a skinny man with a short salt-and-pepper beard and dark green eyes. 

Officers said they would keep an eye out for the truck. 

Kids Scream For Help at Four Keys Inn

Just before 10 pm, a caller reported a domestic incident at the Four Keys Inn. The caller said a woman was beating on a man and that there were two children in the room who were screaming. 

The children asked an adult to call the police. 

The individuals involved left before the police arrived, so officers requested the caller contact them should they return. About an hour later, the man returned to his hotel room, and police responded.

The man told police he got into an argument with his ex-wife and then transported her to her home in New Boston.
