Officers were called in to investigate after a mom told them a relative told her child got out of the house and was missing for over an hour before a family member found the child.

She said the child’s father was supposed to be looking after the child, but his current girlfriend hadn’t been taking care of it.
Officers noted that no one had reported the child missing. Deputies headed to the home to check on the child’s welfare. They said the child was fine and had been left in the care of a responsible adult.
