Officers investigated a shocking case of domestic violence after a mom claimed her baby’s father threw the child down and attacked her.
When officers arrived at the woman’s home, they said she was crying, and they saw marks on her face and neck. She told deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s office that her spouse hit her and threw the baby down on the couch.
The woman said it happened after an argument over the father not helping out enough with the baby at night. She said that her other half threw the baby on the couch and began hitting her face and throwing things at her. She called for 9-1-1, and he took the phone out of her hand.
Suspicious of the marks on her neck, officers asked if she’d been strangled. She said she wasn’t sure as she was focused on getting to the baby. However, she did say her neck hurt. Police took photos of her and the baby’s injuries and information for a report.
