Mom Fires Shots in Portsmouth Home
Multiple units responded to the scene after a man reported his mother came into their home and fired off several rounds inside the house.
Her son confiscated the weapon and called the police. Officers took possession of the weapon and contacted EMS to treat the mother, who was transported to a Columbus hospital for a suspected brain issue.
Family Drama Above Tattoo Studio Leads to Arrest
Domestic drama at an apartment above Jet Black Tattoo Studio led to multiple police calls.
Just before 10 am, officers responded to a domestic at the 11th Street residence. Police took a 23-year-old woman into custody for assault.
About an hour later, officers returned to the scene after a worried mother said her son had threatened to harm himself and had taken his brother’s car.
Officers caught up with the man in the car at the apartment. He said he did not want to harm himself. Officers advised him to return his brother’s car.
Screams On Center Street
Just before 5 am, Apple Security contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report their operator heard screaming at a Center Street Location.
The reporting party called back and said there was a man on the back porch screaming. Officers were unable to locate anyone.
However, about an hour later, a woman called back, saying her husband had found someone underneath their house.
When a deputy responded to the scene, they found the man. However, the caller did not want to file a police report. An officer gave the suspect a ride home.
