Mom Found Dead on Grandview Avenue
A young family was hit by tragedy on Friday afternoon. Just after 3 pm, officers and EMS responded when a 24-year-old woman’s fiancé called for help, saying she was unresponsive and would not wake up.
Officers contacted CPS and the coroner and advised an individual on the scene of their Miranda Rights. The children were placed in the care of their grandparents.
Deputies Take No Chances Investigating Welfare Check
After a horrifying discovery of a woman left dead for some time in a home with her dogs, deputies took no chances when a request for a welfare check on a cancer patient came in on Friday afternoon.
A woman asked officers to check in on a man coping with cancer. When officers arrived on the scene, they found his door unlocked and his dog on the porch. Deputies went into the home but were unable to locate the man.
They contacted the dog warden, but since the animal had food and water, she did not take the animal into custody. They saw no sign of foul play, but did note that the house was not in good condition inside.
Car Falls on Man in Minford
A Minford man was injured when a vehicle fell on him, but getting him to the hospital proved a challenge.
The call came in at 5:30 pm on Sunday, a witness said a vehicle fell on a 29-year-old man. They’d pulled him out, but he complained of shoulder and leg pain.
EMS requested an air ambulance, but they could not take off due to the bad weather.
