Mom Says Grandpa Dragged Child By Hair
An upset mom contacted PPD at 7:41 pm to report her 6-year-old daughter’s paternal grandfather dragged her by the hair.
Officers spoke to the mom and child, who said the grandfather had pulled the child’s hair. Officers and the mother agreed there were no physical signs of injury or abuse.
After speaking with the grandfather, officers said it did not appear there was any intention to abuse or harm the child and that child seemed to be living in good conditions.
The mother calmed down and went to work, and the child didn’t seem to be afraid to go back into her grandfather’s home.
Man Kicks In Door in West Portsmouth
A West Portsmouth Woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office just after midnight to report a man had kicked in her door and was now standing in her kitchen.
She said the suspect threw things off her counter and then ran outside. She couldn’t offer much of a description of the man other than he was white.
Officers responded to the scene and searched for the suspect. However, they were unable to locate him.
