A mom decided to make a family outing out of a shoplifting trip to Walmart.
Loss prevention at the South Point store contacted officers around 2:30 pm, and when they arrived at the store, they learned that Amber Sloan and her minor son both went through the self-checkout but only scanned some of the items before leaving the store.
When officers spoke to the woman, she denied taking anything but did offer to pay for the items she had missed scanning.

Police took her into custody and arranged for her mother to pick up her two teenage children, who’d accompanied her to the store.
