Scioto County’s first responders stayed in overdrive on Monday, July 7, 2025, answering 63 separate calls that ranged from traffic arrests and medical emergencies to suspicious activity and prowler reports.
Although the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office stopped releasing detailed call logs to Scioto County Daily News earlier this year, we remain committed to bringing you every piece of public information still available. And Monday’s log didn’t disappoint.
🚑 EMS & Fire: 27 Squad Runs, 1 Fire Call, 2 Accidents with Injuries
- 27 emergency squad runs crisscrossed the county, taking medics to spots like Fairview Avenue, Kinker Road, Pirate Drive, Wolf Run Road, and multiple group homes and nursing facilities.
- Some runs were cancelled or non-transports, but many ended with patients taken to emergency departments.
- A structure fire was reported at Elmwood Ave and Center Street, and two injury crashes were reported—one on Coon Hollow Road, the other on Center Street.
🚓 Crimes, Complaints & Creepers
Deputies handled a flurry of criminal complaints and suspicious circumstances:
- Prowler reported on Rainbow Drive just before sunrise.
- Suspicious persons and vehicles spotted along Route 104/73, US Highway 52, and at multiple businesses including Evans Food Group and Edgewood Manor.
- Threats and harassment reported on Aaron Road.
- Several investigative complaints logged at sites like Connie Avenue, Norwich Avenue, 3rd Street, and the Scioto County Jail, which had two separate entries.
🚔 Traffic Trouble: Warnings, Arrests, and Road Rage
- 13 traffic-related incidents were recorded, including:
- Two arrests following stops at Back Street/Route 140 and Essman Sugar Camp Road.
- Multiple warnings on Scioto Trail, Elmwood Avenue, and Route 23 near O’Reilly Auto Parts.
- Road blockage on Bonser Run Road caused delays.
- A recovered stolen vehicle was handled by another agency on Pleasant Avenue.
🔔 False Alarms & Civil Processes
- Five alarm drops—some false, some real—sent officers to Colley Road, Woodcrest Drive, Dogwood Ridge, and Hickory Ridge.
- Two civil process calls, including one to Country Store Foods in South Webster, ended without contact.
🗺️ Hotspots & Repeat Offenders
Several locations saw multiple calls or continued to pop up throughout the week:
- Rosemount Pavilion saw two separate EMS calls.
- McDonald’s in Rosemount showed up twice—once for an accident, once for a vehicle repo.
- Kinker Road was the site of both EMS and transport runs.
- Scioto County Jail had three entries—two for investigative follow-ups and one full report.
