WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — More than 750 people are without power in West Portsmouth.
AEP Ohio — the power company that supplies electricity to the area — said Monday afternoon that a total of 753 customers are impacted by a power outage in the area of Dry Run Road and route 73.
Several customers in the area received an automated telephone call telling them the outage was “mandatory” and that AEP apologized for the inconvenience. The power company did not state a reason for the outage, however, representatives for AEP said that electricity should be restored by 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
