Morris Fielden Hopkins, 73, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 at his home. He was born July 18, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Carson Jay and Betty Roe Hopkins.
On March 26, 1994 he was united in marriage to Fredia Jordan Hopkins who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Tracy Bidwell of Piketon and Dannielle Adkins of Waverly; honorary son, Taylor Tackett; granddaughter, Madison Morehart of London, Ohio; bonus grandchildren, Calli Jo and Emma; sister, Pat (Benny) Penn of Piketon; sisters-in-law, Glendon Hopkins of Waverly and Pemelia “Melia” Dean of Circleville; a brother-in-law, Wayne (Barb) Jordan of Massillon, Ohio; many nephews and nieces; and his fur-babies, Lucy, Barney and Jasper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry J. Hopkins; father and mother in-law, Fred and Ruth Jordan; brothers-in-law, Ray Jordan and Marvin Dean; a sister-in-law, Ruth Jordan Boyd; and a niece, Lisa Hill.
Morris was a 1970 graduate of Piketon High School. He was a truck driver, lifetime farmer and was co-owner of Hopkins Insurance until he retired in 2018. He was a member of Waverly Church of Christ and was a 13 year member of the Elm Grove Fire Department and EMT/Paramedic.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Larry Williams, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
