Mother’s Day Family Feuds

Mother’s Day Family Feuds

Mother’s Day was far from happy for one Portsmouth mother. She contacted police at 4:21 am to report her 54-year-old son was yelling and threatening to harm her husband. She told police her son had mental health issues and was off his medication. Police advised her to contact them if he became violent.

And it wasn’t just moms and sons having issues this weekend. A woman contacted police at 10:36 pm to say her father had assaulted her, and she had the video to prove it. Police took information for a report.

A Mayo Street woman contacted her daughter to say her husband had hit her in the head during a fight, and she had a lump on her head. Both parties had been drinking. The woman left the scene with her daughter to prevent any more issues.

At 6:42 pm, police responded to Campbell Avenue for a report of a mother and adult daughter arguing. Police said it was over a custody issue, and the pair agreed to separate.

Another mother called the police to report that her intoxicated son was arguing with her. Police spoke to both parties.

Mother’s Day Meth Overdose In Tracy Park

Portsmouth, Ohio Police Officers, and a rescue squad responded to Tracy Park in the early hours of Mother’s Day after a report of an overdose.

A man contacted police at 12:36 am to say he’d taken a gram of meth and thought he was about to overdose. A gram is equal to 1000 milligrams, and experts say anything over 100 milligrams can lead to an overdose depending on the strength of the product.

An ambulance from the Portsmouth Fire Department transported the man to the hospital.
