Kentucky law enforcement officials arrested Joshua Meenach for the murder of a woman whose body was discovered inside a burned-out vehicle in Greenup County Back in March of last year.
The Greenup County Grand Jury indicted Meenach for murder, arson, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse on Wednesday.
Back in March of 2023, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Saw Pit Road in Greenup County.
Officers discovered skeletal remains, which they sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy and DNA tests.
Tests confirmed the body belonged to 47-year-old Stacy L. Meenach, whom authorities say lived in Greenup County. Meenach’s obituary listed Joshua Meenach as her son.
In details uncovered exclusively by SCDN, Meenach had posted on social media in early March that she was in search of an affordable place to live and was taking suggestions. At the time, she said, “I’m not being picky at this point. Anywhere will do.”
Her last public post was four days before the body was discovered in the vehicle.
