Naomi Rose Beavers Beekman Cydrus, 96 of Latham

Naomi Rose Beavers Beekman Cydrus, 96, of Latham, Ohio passed from this life into her eternal home to be with Jesus our Savior on June 30th, 2026. She was born February 4, 1930 in Rainsboro, Ohio to the late Odney Thurman and Rose Alice Louderback Beavers. On April 20th 1946 she was united in marriage to Paul D. Beekman for 45 years until his death in 1991.

She is survived by their five children: Steven Beekman of Latham, Janet Beekman Smith of Latham, Phyllis Beekman Smith and (Jerry) of Latham, Katie Beekman Satterfield and (Randy) of Latham and Melissa Beekman Bakenhaster and (Philip Price) of Piketon; 12 Grandchildren: Shawn Beekman, Tiffany Weaks, Ladawn Jasper, Shela Blaney, Margie Cook, Amy Haggy, Andrea Ferneau, Aaron Satterfield, Adam Satterfield, Kain Bakenhaster, Kala Withrow and Kory Bakenhaster; 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; four sisters: Thelma Beavers Johnson of Springfield, Vicki Beavers Raines of Florida, Brenda Beavers Williams of Piketon, Rickie Beavers Beekman and (Gary) of Piketon and a brother: Ferm Beavers and (Debbie) of Piketon.

In 1993 she was united in marriage to William Cydrus for 15 years until his death in 2008. She is survived by four stepchildren: William Cydrus III, Philip Cydrus, Debbie Cydrus Bartley, Rebecca Cydrus Delawder and several step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Paul Beekman, husband William Cydrus, three brothers: Robie Beavers, Billy Beavers and Sonnie Beavers; and a sister: Janet Beavers Monroe.

Naomi was a homemaker. She loved going to church and working in the Latham Church where she attended for 40+ years. She also had a great talent for sewing, cooking, decorating and making flower arrangements. She will be greatly missed by all her children and extended family. Her desire was to see all her children accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, to live with them in eternity and never have to be separated from them again.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Latham Church in Latham, Ohio on Monday, July 6, 2026 with grandsons Rev Aaron Satterfield and Rev Adam Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Latham, Ohio. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio.
