Narcaned & Tasered in Wayne Hills

Narcaned & Tasered in Wayne Hills

A man had a pretty bad afternoon after police responded to a report of an overdose on Thomas Avenue in Wayne Hills just after 3 pm.

Witnesses said the man was not breathing. However, he took off on foot after being Narcaned, and officers chased the man to Kendall Avenue where they were forced to deploy a taser to take him into custody.

Police took him to the Scioto County Jail but the jail refused to take him since he’d been Narcaned and tased. An ambulance transported him to the hospital, where he was cleared and sent back to the jail.

The name of the suspect was withheld by law enforcement.

Starving Dog Spotted on Center Street

Just before 1:30 pm, a caller reported a dog outside a Center Street (Wheelersburg) residence that had no shelter, food, or water. They also said the dog was extremely skinny.

When a deputy checked out the incident, they confirmed that the dog appeared malnourished. Dispatch contacted the Dog Warden.

There was another report of dogs in distress reported on Back Street. A man said his neighbors moved away and left two pit bulls in the backyard without shelter, food, or water. He said he provided food and water for the animals, but he was afraid they might get out.

Deputies observed that one of the animals was injured. The Dog Warden was contacted to pick up the dogs.
