New Details in Arrest on Child Sex Charges

We have new details on the arrest of a young man charged with multiple counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.  We told you yesterday that Braceon Madison had met a local girl on Facebook and traveled to the area from South Carolina. When she disappeared from home, her relatives put out an urgent plea on social media to find her.

Witnesses spotted the pair at Burger King in Wheelersburg. Officers took the girl to the hospital and dropped 18-year-old Madison off at the homeless shelter in Portsmouth.

That’s where things took a strange turn. Madison showed up at the hospital later in the day and tried to see the girl. Officers had discovered sexual images of the girl on Madison’s phone during the course of their investigation and ended up taking him into custody on multiple counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.

According to police, the pair met on Facebook back on Christmas Eve, and he took a bus to Scioto County to meet her in person. Madison snuck into the girl’s house, and the two ran off together, hiding out in a nearby building for a few nights.

Madison is currently held in the Scioto County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
