New Details in McDermott Murder – “I’m not taking this anymore.”

Homicide Murder

New details tonight in the case of a 60-year-old McDermott woman charged with murder in the death of her boyfriend. The woman told police she was “tired of being pushed around” and that she was sorry she shot him, but “He just got me stressed.”

Holly Euton-McGhee was arraigned on Monday morning, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday at 9 am.

We’ve also obtained the 911 calls from the Sunday incident. Officers say McGhee gunned down her boyfriend, Robert Dean Lewis, 67, of Otway.

Neighbors were the first to report the incident. They called in around 9:30 am on Sunday. They reported hearing three shots, hearing Lewis scream, and seeing “blood all over the place.”

Shortly after that, the Sheriff says McGhee called in to report she’d shot her boyfriend. “I’m going to need some help at my place, please. My boyfriend, I guess I shot him. He’s in my driveway.”

When the 911 operator asked if he was breathing, Ms. McGhee replied, “Yes and gave her name and address.  When the operator asked where she’d shot him, McGhee replied. “A couple times, I don’t know in the back. I was tired of being pushed around.”

McGhee said she’d shot Lewis with the .38 she kept by her bed and that she returned it to her bedside table.  “I hit him, and he hit me back. I just went in and said, ‘I’m not taking this anymore.’  I’m sorry I shot him. He just got me stressed.”

Here are the 2 calls to 911.

Despite medics transporting him to St. Mary’s Hospital via air ambulance, he died from his injuries.

Officers charged Euton-McGhee with aggravated murder, felonious assault, and obstructing official business.
