New details in the story of a parolee busted for child endangerment and drug charges over the weekend.
According to Portsmouth Police reports, officers learned of the incident when a caller reported adults passed out inside a vehicle with three children trying to wake them up at the Dash-Thru on Friday afternoon.
The vehicle left before officers arrived, but witnesses described it as a blue Subaru with a temporary tag. Officers caught up with the vehicle 10 minutes later at the Oasis and took a man and woman into custody.
Police sent for CPS to take charge of the children and arrested him on three counts of endangering children and a charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence. McCoy was also charged with possessing drug abuse instruments as well as probation and parole violations. The 37-year-old has previous convictions for aggravated robbery, breaking and entering.
