No Room at Rehab – Cops Called To Calm Down Patient

Officers responded to a Lucasville rehab facility after they reported a woman causing a disturbance.

They said the woman showed up at the facility wanting a room but had not completed the admittance procedure. The facility had no beds available, and the woman became angry.

When the staff tried to get the woman admitted to another facility, she refused to speak to them and also refused to leave the property. They felt she might be having a mental health episode.

By the time officers arrived, the woman had left the scene. Police searched for her but did not find her.

Patients Flee Rehab, Set Out on Foot

A local halfway house contacted the Sheriff’s Office at 9 am to report that two patients had left the facility and taken off on foot down Gallia Pike.

Officers caught up with the pair about fifteen minutes later and gave them a ride to Wheelersburg. They dropped them off at McDonald’s, so the pair could use the restaurant’s WiFi to make a call to find someone to give them a ride.
