Norman R. Hunt, 93, of Portsmouth, OH, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Winchester, KY, on June 21, 1933, a son of the late Avery and Fannie Ginter Hunt.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Fisher Hunt; two sons, Donal Hunt and Cliffton White; one sister, Frida Charles; one brother-in-law, Willie Charles; one son-in-law, Ronnie Myers; and a special cousin, Jackie Hunt.
Norman was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, a member of The Way Church in Minford, OH, and a retired Truck Driver.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two daughters, Debra Myers and Diana (Randy) Cooper; one son, Herb (Missi) White; ten grandchildren, Kelly Lee, Ronnie Myers, Melissa (Cody) Burden, Jessia (Shelby) Tipton, Scott Cooper, Chris White, John White, Makaela Bapst, Brandon White, and Bryan (Kayla) White; along with eighteen great-grandchildren; three dogs, Sissy, Bubby, LuLu and several other nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sadly miss him.
The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH, for the special care they gave Norman.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Pastor Andy Day officiating. Burial will follow at Parsons Cemetery in Garrison, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M.
