Nursing Home Roommates Throw Down Over Remote

A battle over the remote between nursing home roommates ended up with police involvement.

Nursing home admins told officers that one roommate grabbed the remote from the nightstand of his roommate and accidentally ended up touching his face. That led to a verbal altercation between the two.

An officer spoke with the residents and advised them that it is not okay to take belongings away from each other and that if they have issues, they need to speak with the staff.

The pair agreed to get separate rooms and go their own ways.

Passed out at the BP

At 2 am, officers responded to the BP on Gallia for a report of a man passed out in a vehicle.

Police got permission to search the vehicle and ended up impounding some items. They took the man into custody but allowed a friend to come pick up his vehicle. Officers booked the man into the Scioto County Jail.

Five hours later, witnesses reported an apparently high man on 9th Street. An officer took the man into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail.

Just after 1 pm, callers reported someone lying in the grass near Bob & Floyd Tire Sales. Medics transported the intoxicated man to SOMC.

At 7:30 pm, callers reported an intoxicated man yelling at people on Boundary Street. Officers took the man into custody. Initially, the Scioto County Jail refused to accept the man, but they later changed their mind.
