OD’d at the Wheel

At 3 pm, officers responded to a report that a man had overdosed in a vehicle parked in an Elliot Road driveway.

First responders revived him with Narcan and advised him he was in no condition to drive the vehicle. Once he left the truck, officers told him he was free to go.  The people who lived at the home where he’d parked said he could stay with them.

At the same time, police responded to a report of a woman passed out in an SUV on 5th Street.

Police said she was sleeping in the driver’s seat. She said she’d come to drop off her son at home. Police advised her to keep a better eye on the child and go into the house to sleep.

At 8:30, EMS responded to a report of an overdose on Hutchins Street. Medics transported a woman to the hospital.

A caller reported a man overdosing near a treatment center on Robinson Avenue at 9 pm. By the time officers arrived, an ambulance had already treated the victim.
