Just before 11 pm, a woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report her drunken boyfriend had threatened her during an argument. She said the man owned several weapons and might have one on him.
Ten minutes later, she called back to report the man had pepper-sprayed her.
By the time officers arrived at the home, she said the man was hiding somewhere inside the residence.
When officers arrived on the scene, they began a search of the home, checking out a shed and other parts of the home. Once police took the man into custody, they gave an ambulance the go-ahead to come into the home to treat the pepper spray victim.
During the search, an officer fell through the ceiling of the home and sprained his ankle.
