We’ve told you that recently officers are responding to daily calls involving individuals threatening self-harm, and there’s no sign of it letting up.

Just after 9:30 a.m., a woman called King’s Daughters’ Medical Center to say she planned to harm herself with a gun. The hospital notified police and later called back to say the woman’s son now had the weapon, but still wanted officers on the scene.

Police and an ambulance responded. She repeated her plans for self-arm to first responders. Officers noted she already had visible injuries, and she told them she’d already taken pills. Officers took information for a report, and an ambulance transported her for treatment.
