Officers Investigate Bullying and Death Threats
Officers responded to a report of a disturbing case of bullying on Saturday afternoon. A concerned guardian showed police screenshots of texts from two classmates of a child who threatened to “beat the sh#!” out of the child if they reported being bullied to school officials.
The bullying kids also threatened to put the other child “in the ground at the cemetery.” The guardians wanted the information passed onto the school resource officer for further investigation.
* Publisher’s Note: The incident follows the hospitalization of a child at one of the city’s elementary schools after making suicidal remarks in front of officials. The child was taken for psychiatric evaluation.
