Around 11:30 pm, Portsmouth Officers headed to Alexandria House to do a welfare check at the request of a worried sister.
She said her sister recently had surgery and had been prescribed extra pain medications. The sister hadn’t contacted her or spoken to any neighbors that day, which was unusual.
A PMHA Maintenance worker got permission to let officers inside. They discovered the woman was in bed but acting as if she had perhaps taken too much medication.
Police sent for the rescue squad to provide medical attention.
