Domestic disputes spinning out of control are a frequent source of problems for Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies. It looks like family problems didn’t take a day off for a National Day of Remembrance on September 11.
Just before 8 a.m., deputies were called to a Minford residence when a woman said two people assaulted her at the house next door.
She said two family members had to pull the assailants off her and that the attack occurred in front of children. Witnesses told officers one of the assailants likely had a gun on him.
Officers contacted the Ohio State Patrol to issue a BOLO and began a search of the area for the suspects.
At the time of this report, the suspects had not been apprehended. The BOLO will remain in force until they are located.
The sheriff’s office has not released the names of the suspects to news media. This usually happens when they have plenty of information and feel confident that they will be able to locate the individuals.
